Owner-Occupied Rent Saving
Owner-occupied weeks are intended to represent the estimated economic benefit of avoiding comparable rent elsewhere while the owner occupies the property.
Estimated rent saving = Weekly equivalent rent × Owner-occupied weeks
Worked example — illustrative only
| Weekly equivalent rent | $650 |
| Owner-occupied period | 4 weeks |
| Estimated rent saving | $2,600 |
Important: This represents an estimated economic benefit, not tenant rent received into a bank account. Interpret it separately from cash actually collected.
